Qubo is great Saturday Morning viewing
I remember being a kid and doing my best to wake up super early on Saturday morning so I could watch all the Saturday morning cartoons. However now that I am an adult I like to sleep in, but since I have kids sleeping in on Saturday is not always going to happen. Well that is not entirely honest, I actually wake up early so I can watch NBC’s Qubo which is almost as good as the Saturday morning cartoons I remember from my childhood. I guess the main reason I do this is because all the shows on Qubo are something both I and my kids can dig. My only real complaint is that Qubo starts at 10am on the east coast meaning That I have to wake up damn early in order to catch all the shows.
Other than its start time however I generally really enjoy the Qubo shows and would highly recommend them to anyone with a family. Also if just Saturday morning is not good enough for you, try checking out the Qubo TV channel. Below is a quick list of the Qubo Saturday morning shows.
This is a fun little show about a little boy named Jacob who says everything twice. I have only caught a few of the episodes as it starts out the morning but my oldest daughter Serene loves it and says “Jacob is cute”.
This is a cute little CGI show that features a little dragon and other assorted friends. Generally there is some kind of lesson to be learned by the dragons adventures and is a favorite of my two year old.
I love this show, full of songs, goofy antics, great plot and even throws in a value here and there. If you havn’t had the pleasure of veggie tales, what are you waiting for? I really dig this show.
While Qubo offers three other shows (Rabbit and friends, 3-2-1 Penguins, and Jane and the dragon) I haven’t really ever watched them yet. Maybe I will next week so I can give a shout on them. To visit the Qubo site go here.

I never even heard of Qubo, but it does seem a long way from the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour that used to be on on Saturday mornings. The odd thing is that my kids never got into the network Saturday morning programming, always choosing to watch Nickelodeon or Disney.
And … 10 AM is damn early?

Yeah actually I wonder if maybe our kids never got into the Saturday morning thing because it really started to suck. Whatever happened to good cartoons?
