NBC Sees Possible Light at the End of the Tunnel
NBC is hinting their might be a light at the end of the tunnel. While at one time everyone was battening down the hatches for the long haul with this thing, they’re giving us hope, which right now is all we have.
NBC made an announcement on Monday that after the strike is over, they are ordering nine more episodes each of freshmen series Chuck and Life, definite good news for not only their fans, but fans of all television. during a season when some shows on the bubble might be taking an unnecessary hit because of the strike, NBC seems to be recognizing the legions of fans that are backing up these two shows, not wanting to lose them.
The picture isn’t quite so rosy for two other freshmen series, Bionic Woman and Journeyman. Definite news hasn’t been made about either series, but it seems the only thing that could save them at this point is Lindsay Wagner herself, and somehow I just don’t see that happening.
Because of NBC’s announcement of what will happen after the strike is ended, it leaves everyone wondering if they know something we don’t. Surely they must have inside knowledge on the how well the talks are going between the two sides, and if they’re making decisions for what happens when the strike is settled, when previously that wasn’t expected for months, that would leave us assuming it’s not going to be as long as they were once telling us.
We’ll know for sure once other networks follow suit and make similar promises to their own freshmen shows that are doing well. Which new shows are you hoping will be picked up? Contact me at LauraBelle@sofachip.com

Yay! I am glad they are keeping both of these shows! I am a big fan of both and was hoping they would continue with them.
