And true - Booth does use 'Squints' often. I mentioned this here since this was one of the first reviews/recaps I'd done of the show in a while, and it was my first for this particular site, plus I just wanted to mention that I loved that he did that since he did that from the very first ep :) I like to praise shows on what I think they do that's great :) And then yell at them when they do something stupid :P Kidding. I agree about the Whedonesque aspects of this show; the writers are clearly targeting the Buffy/Angel audience.
