Spotlight on One of House’s Newest Additions

This past week, House finally picked his new team. Due to the addition of Foreman, he was only supposed to pick two others. Yet, in his wonderful House way, he sneakily got to hire three. In the picture above, you can see them.

There they are, all bright and shiny, ready for late nights doing MRI’s and uh…other doctory stuff. (I don’t memorize the terms, okay?) But of course, House isn’t going to make it easy on him. In fact, he’ll probably go out of his way to make things interesting, which, typically means upsetting, messy, and complicated.

But that’s how we like it, right?

House returns in January, and this is what you have to look forward to:

So, who’s my favorite new House-hire? Well…

Is it any wonder that it’s… Olivia Wilde!?

I didn’t like her very much as Alex on The O.C. But with darker hair, and a better character - this girl has been able to show that she has real talent! She’s actually my favorite new actress of the moment.

One particularly interesting thing about her personal life is that her husband, whom she married in June of 2003, is a prince. His name is Tao Ruspoli, which, as names go - that’s a great one. He’s a filmmaker and a photographer. So, this couple probably has lots in common.

So far, Olivia has only been in eight episodes of House M.D. - and in each episode, we’ve known her only by the name Thirteen.

But now, she will probably be a regular. With that in mind, I’m wondering if they’ll keep up the mystique of her ‘namelessness’ - and then finally reveal her name, which I imagine will be something simple, significant and profound in some way, like Jane, or Lily.

Olivia is a natural blonde, and has blue eyes - which House may find alluring. While her character has to wear white lab coats in most scenes, Olivia seems to have a knack for style. People put her on their list of best dressed for the 2007 Emmys.

Olivia looks chummy, above, with co-star Jennifer Morrison, who plays the morally righteous, do-gooder, Doctor Alison Cameron.

Will these two young Doctors fight over House? Cameron obviously has lingering feelings for House. But will Cameron even be around, or is Olivia’s character a total replacement for the lack of kindly females in House’s life?

Jennifer Morrison is officially signed on for J.J. Abrams new movie, Star Trek 11. It’s possible her part is small, or will be done over the summer. But do we know? (I want some House rivalry!)

Do we even know if Foreman is going to jump attack on House and threaten him for a raise using only a butter knife while reciting Shakespeare? No, we don’t. And that’s why I’m afraid. (And excited.)

Okay. Cameron or Thirteen. Who would win in a fight?
