I think the show producers knew about the Paula Stalker, and probably brought him in as a 'draw' to the show. I'm praying there was extra security in the room when he was there. I think it's sort of sad the way they will exploit some people or things. Some makes for great TV, but occasionally I feel like it's too much.

I get really annoyed at the people who go on the show thinking they're good when they're so bad that I can't imagine no one has told them/ are bad and know they're bad and want to be famous for being bad.

I cvan see you have a life and doen't waste you time hanging around the idol boards.
I have to tell you taht time after time people post taht they are going to be a bad audition on idol and then describe what they did - surely enough, there they are on my TV being told they can't sing - In fact, frequently they can sing quite well, well enough how to make themselves look bad.

I don't really know if there has been a delusional person since Keith. Once people found they can get on TV by being outrageous, they go out of their way to get there.

I’ve been watching American Idol from season one. I dreaded the first days of competition when many auditioned and not so many were any good. Ratings are important I know and American public may like to watch someone make a fool of themselves. Still, it felt and still does that my time was wasted. It felt degrading having to see and listen to some people shake their booty, show fingers and swear like there is no tomorrow.
Why is this so important? American Idol is not a Jerry Springer show – it’s a talent show. So many times someone talented, sweet and smart brought tears to my eyes when they sang. Isn’t that the point? We don’t see many of them in the beginning of the show and that’s why some of them get voted off too soon – nobody saw them before! Instead, we see many come in costumes and with no talent whatsoever, but with big attitude or an obvious mental problem. Giving them time on TV may prove that they could never be an American Idol, but giving them 5 minutes to get into TV’s face with some obnoxious comments and gestures is just unacceptable. It feels like an insult to my intelligence to have to endure all that on account of seeing a minute of someone’s true talent and deserving of attention. It just saddens me to realize that so many people find this freak show funny and amusing. Seeing someone who can’t sing may be amusing, but letting them spray the camera with their vulgar venom is just plain insulting!
So ratings or not, if American audience is so undemanding and possibly even looking forward to this part of the show, we will endure this torture and hopefully get to see and hear true talent deserving to be on TV.
Have a great day,
