More People Watched Zoey 101 Recently, but there’s more Trouble for Jamie Lynn Spears
It seems as though Nickelodeon is going to air Zoey 101, the show that the now-pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears is a star of. I had thought for sure that this would be really bad for her, and I do feel bad for her family. Sort of. Though she’d shot the final season of the show, there were rumors that it wouldn’t air.
Well, the season finale of the current season aired and the number of viewers was 7.3 million - much more than the usual amount. I can’t help but wonder why this is. She was not pregnant at the time of taping, so there is nothing you can do like, ’spot Grace’s/Carrie’s pregnant belly’ like when Debra Messing (Will & Grace) or Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City) were taping their shows while preggo.
What is this sudden urge to watch this show of a teenage girl, now? Do people want to look at her and get their last glimpse of her before they think she’ll end up more like her sister? Do they think they will spot a warning sign in her eyes?
I can’t say that I particularly like this girl, but I don’t know her enough to dislike her. I feel bad for her situation. I’m glad that her show will probably air. Although I am worried about the message it will be sending to younger kids. This is a very tricky situation and I don’t envy the people in charge.
There’s more drama - apparently Jamie has been dumped by her boyfriend (Casey Aldridge), who wants a paternity test for believing her baby is the product of being with an older TV producer. This is possibly a complete rumor. It may be being denied somewhere right now (I’m sure Jamie will deny it - wouldn’t you?) but it’s way too exhausting to find out all the details of the life of a Spears woman these days.
Until I’ve had more diet coke,
Jessica
