Show Some Pirate & Razorback Pride

As promised, I’m back to write about some more TV character-inspired products, and the replica props you can purchase to fully channel your inner Vampire Slayer, or whomever.

To start you out, there is a necklace and ring that Kristen Bell wore on Veronica Mars, as the title character. Veronica wore this necklace through all three seasons of the show as it was given to her by her deceased best friend, the amazing Lilly Kane.

The necklace was stolen in a robbery of a campus casino in the season three episode President Evil, and Veronica didn‘t couldn’t rest until she got it back.

Something that was in Veronica’s room was a pit bull dog, named Backup 1.5, as her real pit bull was named Backup. I diligently searched for the site where you can buy him, I think he as a pencil sharpener, change bank, or something - but I cannot find him. But I do have a picture (left) from the ultimate Veronica Mars website, marsinvestigations.net.

Cafepress.com has goodies if you go there and type in the name of your favorite TV show. For instance, if you type in “Veronica Mars” you can find this unofficial Camelot Motel T-Shirt which is direct reference to the show, which would be cool to have, no? You can also buy a T-shirt (or various other things) with the Mars Investigations logo, or with favorite quotes from the show.

On the same site, I love the Buffy the Vampire Slayer-inspired T-shirt that says Eat, Sleep, Slay with simple pictures. But as the last picture has a stake, I might be a bit afraid to wear the T-shirt in case people start taking my jokes about my late night patrolling as a Slayer seriously. (Trust me, I run, kick, and fall like an uncoordinated otter.)

You can also find apparel there, and other places online, for the high school and college that Buffy and several of her pals attended. Go Razorbacks!

While you can purchase the cross necklace that Buffy received from Angel in season one, I think it’s too big, and you’re actually better off finding cool cross necklaces at thrift stores.

Speaking of Buffy, she had a favorite stuffed animal named Mr. Gordo. You can buy this cute little piggy if you google online. Originally, this plush pink pig was $20.00 from The Manhattan Toy Company. And I think his name was Peaches. He is no longer made by them. He was just picked up for Buffy’s room as a cute addition. But now that he’s Mr. Gordo - he’s famous. I may do some future blogging on this curious and wonderful little pig. He’s kind of amazing

Buffy had another certain stuffed animal in her room we saw in the first couple of seasons a few times. It was a panda bear. What I’ve always thought was cool is that I actually have the exact same panda bear from childhood.

And my friend Dave might beat me up (he’s really vicious, you don’t what to know what he does to sugar packets) if I didn’t mention that Fred (that’s Winifred Burkle to you!) from the Buffy spin-off, Angel, owned Feigenbaum the bunny, and you can too -courtesy of entertainmentearth.com.

In honor of some very cool upcoming interview segments for Sofachip that I have with the creators of We Need Girlfriends I would also like to mention that you can pick up some very fun shirts, relating to the show, from cafepress.com. Most notably this includes the ‘Team Tom’, ‘Team Henry’, and ‘Team Rod’ T-shirts. For my previous piece on WNG, hit the tag attached to this and it’ll bring you to it, lickity split.

Until next time,

Jessica
