Surprise! You Don’t Know What a Spatula Really is
The Washington Post does a contest where readers submit alternate meanings for real words. I’m way too much of a word-loving nerd to pass this up. So, I’m using the words in sentences about TV characters. Some of them make sense, others will confuse you (in a good way).
Here we go!
In season four of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spike couldn’t bite Willow because of a government chip in his head, and it was used as a metaphor for when a man gets a willy-nilly. (Willy-nilly (adj.), impotent)
Samantha on Sex and the City sometimes answers her door in a negligent manner. (Negligent (adj.), describes a condition in which you absentmindedly answer the door in your nightie)
Gregory House on House M.D. would probably love to treat a patient that is a Frisbeetarianism, so that he can mock them. ( Frisbeetarianism (n.), The belief that, when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck there)
In addition, Wilson on House might find problems later on this season when he has to deal with a very rude and insistent Pokemon. (Pokemon (n), A Jamaican proctologist)
Buffy witnessed many spatula’s in her 7-year reign as a Slayer. (Spatula: n. A fight among vampires)
Sawyer on Lost wishes he could get off the damn island because he misses the wonderful population he gets from drinking a fizzy sody-pop. (Population: n., that nice sensation you get when drinking soda)
Karen on Will and Grace liked to make fun of Grace’s racket. (Racket: n., a small pair of breasts) Jokingly, Will liked to tell her to go to the flattery before a big date. (Flattery: n., a place that manufactures A and B cup brassieres only.)
Okay, now I want you to make your own sentences and submit them! Any TV show is fair game.
Until later,
Jessica for Sofachip
