The Return of Jezebel James is on March 14th
Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of the much-beloved Gilmore Girls, has a new show that will finally be airing on March 14th, 2008. The show is titled The Return of Jezebel James and will be on Fox. Daniel Palladino is also involved with the show.
The show, which is a 30 minute comedy, was initially going to have a sneak preview after American Idol on March 12th. Now, there will be an hour premiere on the 14th. This is a blow for a show that already has the misfortune of being on a Friday night. At least it is on at 8 p.m EST, so maybe you’ll still be home to watch it before you go out and do Friday night things. It will be on 8 p.m. for just March 14th, otherwise it’s slated for 8:30, which is not good.
We’ll only get seven episodes to decide if we like it, and if we do - to make sure it gets good ratings to stick around.
Why do I think I, and you, will like it? As if having the names Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino attached weren’t enough, the show stars Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose. I love Parker, and she was great in her guest role as Dorleen on Will & Grace in 2001 (although, my favorite Parker project is probably The House of Yes or Personal Velocity). I honestly have never seen Six Feet Under, but I love Lauren from the movie Can’t Hardly Wait. Also, her hair is very pretty. Hurrah.
Okay, you probably wanna know what the show is about… Parker plays Sarah, a children’s author who is successful in almost every aspect of her life. She has an estranged sister, Coco (how’s that for a cool name?) played by Ambrose who she finds herself needing. To have her baby. This just proves what I’ve always said - that’s what sister’s are for: lending you clothes, make-up, and uterus’s. So far, my sister’s have been very stingy.

parker posey, lauren ambrose, AND the palladinos?? that show sounds awesome. I’m glad you keep me up to date on these new shows that I’d never hear about otherwise because I still haven’t adjusted to living in a new timezone and I never have any clue when anything is on, so I miss everything and give up.
