Paulina Porzikova has Replaced Twiggy as a Judge on America’s Next Top Model (so, let’s investigate!)

For Cycle Ten of America’s Next Top Model, there is a new face on the panel. The face is of Supermodel Paulina Porzikova. The judge that is no longer there is Twiggy.

Twiggy came on ANTM as a judge in 2005. The official statement is that Twiggy has left due to scheduling conflicts. But it is no secret that Twiggy was a kind-hearted judge with nary a bad thing (I have no idea why I’m typing with English jargon, sorry) to say about most girls. Even when she did, her tone was never too harsh. She seemed nurturing, but also a little bit confused. She never had too much to say. That didn’t make for the best judge. I believe they brought Twiggy on to make the show seem more serious than it is.

But soon enough they realized they needed a judge that would be bitchy. They didn’t find that in Twiggy. They may or may not find that in their new judge, Paulina Porzikova. I don’t think she will be as harsh as former ANTM judge Janice Dickinson, but that isn’t bad. I do think she will be more opinionated and vocal with those opinions than Twiggy was.

Twiggy was at the height of her popularity in the 60’s, while Paulina was at hers in the 80’s. While Paulina has done a lot as a model, Twiggy is the more iconic legend. Most recently for Paulina - she was on Dancing with the Stars in ‘07. However, she did not make it very far.

Twiggy has recorded songs, Paulina has written a novel, and both of them have acted in movies.

Both of these women have songs that reference them in some way (Twiggy’s song is by The Spice Girls - “Lady is a Vamp” and Paulina’s song is by The Rentals - “Friends of P”).

But only Twiggy has her own doll.
