“Reaper” Reminded Me of a Karen Walker Phrase
There was nothing much on TV tonight so I left the TV on the CW’s Reaper. I haven’t really been able to get into the show the way other people have. But it’s something to watch, and one of the character’s is
named Sock. Which, well, I enjoy that.
At one point, this exchange was delivered in the episode (I hopefully caught every word but I apologize if
something is wrong):
“You know people, they love talking about their kids.”
“Even when their son is a people eater?”
“Just gives them more to talk about.”
While it’s funny and elicits and smile (or laugh), it’s funny for another reason. Let me quote yet another Karen Walker (Will & Grace) catchphrase: “It’s funny cause it’s true.”
I haven’t seen the latest Greek yet, but Maggie of TiFaux.com reminded me I should from a post where she talks about the show. Maggie referenced Jane Espenson, whom I adore! And, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off! *Happy sigh*
