“Miss Guided” is Highly Quoteable (Kinda)
Tonight I decided to take a chance on Miss Guided, once again. What spurred this action? Well, I’ll tell you - although it’s a little itty bit embarrassing. But yes, I will SPILL MY SOUL, for you. Because you’re so pretty. How do you get your hair so shiny? …I digress. Anyway, I still don’t love the show but I really think that Judy Greer is a talented actress. Today, feeling horrible, I put on a TAPE of a movie that I can watch a million times and never get sick of - The Wedding Planner. The one with J-Lo. (Stop laughing.) Judy Greer plays a wacky sidekick, and I can’t help but love her. I have no idea what will happen to her new show, and i was surprised that tonight was the season finale.
Several of you probably know her from her time on Arrested Development. I hope she can find a gig that works out for a long time. Cause I’m ready to watch. I appreciate writing, and so as I watched the two episodes tonight, I typed out my favorite quotes. If they can’t exact - I apologize. The second show just ended about 40 minutes ago so I can’t really confirm them online yet. You’re getting a first look at them (maybe)!
Some of the beauty of these quotes get a little less powerful when not delivered by the talented likes of Chris Parnell and Judy Greer. So my advice is to call them up and get them to say them to you over the phone. (I give really good advice.)
“Take my word for it, don’t lick a mouse.”
“Can you just text me the problem? I’ll text you back ASAP.” (This wouldn’t be so funny if it wasn’t said by a guidance counselor to a kid. I mean, well - it’s horrible. But since it’s not a real kid, we can laugh. Right?)
“They probably have ice at the restaurant.” “Yea…I think I’m going to do it at home.” “Yea, that’s probably smart - go with the ice you know!” (I’m afraid of ice I’m not familiar with, too! Or not.)
“It’s incredible, but you’re right.”
“I’m still your buddy, but now I have the authority to fire you at any time, for any reason.”
“I estimate that nine out of ten high school students have herpes or a baby.” “So when is the last time you were single?”
“Fifth grade..oh no, that’s ridiculous, 3rd grade.”
“So…A Farewell to Arms..let’s talk about some of the larger themes…like the arms..whose arms are they?”
“They have a lot in common, they both seem really sexually frustrated.”
“I thought about what you said last night. And I decided to love myself.”
“I am so proud of you. That can be a really long process.”
“I did it in one night! I really love myself.”
“Some women are so intense that you don’t know if they’re going to kiss you or murder you. [Pause] I like Lisa anyway.”
“I was such a fool yesterday. I’ve grown up a lot since then.”
Anywaaaaay - I am so excited because Daemon’sTV.com has an interview with my favorite Greek guy, Cappie (Scott Michael Foster)! Sadly, it looks like this season won’t be giving us too much Cappie/Casey.
And TVFilter.com has interesting new information about Smallville for any of you who are fans. Like what you read? Subscribe to Sofachip via a link on the main page. Fun times for all. Picture from abc.com
