Mary-Kate Olsen

Here is a celebrity specimen to make us scratch our heads. It is Mary-Kate Olsen on the red carpet at the New Yorkers for Children event entitled New Year’s in April: A Fool’s Fete. Mary-Kate is ready to help children, bravo. But for her weird April-is-New-Years resolution, did she decide to dress without mirrors, yet again?

I have never had the urge to replicate the look of a car tire around my head - apparently Mary-Kate Olsen has. Deciding to drown her thin frame in a muumuu was another choice I can’t understand. It looks like she’s having to hunch with her shoulders up just to keep it from falling off her shoulders and down to the ground. Apparently if you can’t decide on a color for your crazy dress you should wear something that looks like confetti-vomit. Hooray!

The look on her face seems to be saying: Crap, I just realized I’m going to be photographed in this.

dear lord. what IS she wearing? It looks like something you’d pay 50 cents for in a garage sale. and not in a “hey, awesome vintage find!” way. in a “crazy grandma Edna’s ugly tattered leftovers” way.

    Confetti-vomit is a perfect description.

Maybe by “Fool’s Fete,” she thought it meant to choose something you’d have to be foolish (and by foolish, I mean blind. and with no sense of touch. and no ability to communicate with others to find out how you look before you leave the house.) to wear.

Knowing that she has about a billion dollars and looks that bad makes me feel better about wearing my favorite sweatshirt that is ancient and getting holes in the cuffs. :P
