These Award Show Outfits Would Be Great as Halloween Costumes (That’s Bad)

I don’t like Country music, I just never have. I think it would also be fair to say that I don’t like most of the fashion that Country music stars wear to award shows.  But maybe I’ll give the music a chance someday. I always like to practice my singing-in-the-shower skills.

LeAnn Rimes. Flapper style meets Medieval? Even her fingernails and eyebrows look harsh and severe. Was she preparing for battle? Dresses that look like armor are probably not a wise choice. Unless you actually are going into battle.

Carrie Underwood. Bubble dresses are difficult to pull off. A one shouldered neckline is not going to work with them. Bubble dresses work best with spaghetti strap necklines - or basically anything that doesn’t make you look like you’re wearing a purple potato sack. Also, I absolutley hate her hair, specifically her bangs.

Laura Bell Bundy. On Broadway she portrays the stylish and bubbly Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. Elle Woods would never wear this outfit, of that I am certain. It looks like a cheapo Brides Maid dress that you force someone to wear. The idea that Bundy put this on while not under duress makes me worry for her. This reminds me of Chipotle - like she’s rolled herself in aluminum foil to be a giant (albeit fancy) burrito.

Paula Abdul. To Paula Abdul, fake is the best way to play things. Maybe that’s why she’s always smiling like that. “I’d like to look like a giant spider web, please. An exotic one, a deadly beauty!” Straight up now Paula, don’t you embarrass yourself enough on American Idol?

Faith Hill. I like her shoes. Everything else has got to go. Is she trying to be a Gothic Little Red Riding Hood? At first I thought that was a cape, but now I think it’s giant poofy sleeves. Hm. Not any better! Tim McGraw makes for a nice accessory, except he’s wearing some sort of preppy-suit thing that can’t decide what it wants to be. He still looks better than her.

Aimee Mayo. This dress is (maybe) cute if you take away all the other aspects of this outfit. Gross.

That’s enough. It’s horrible.
