Who Amanda Seyfried Called “…the Coolest Human Being Ever”
It may be more likely a case of ‘where don’t you know her from?’ then the curious eyebrow-arched question ‘where do you know her from?’ when it comes to 22-year-old actress, Amanda Seyfried. Her acting resume includes major roles on the TV shows: Veronica Mars (Lily Kane! R.I.P), and HBO’s Big Love (playing a daughter in a polygamist household). You might have also seen her in parts on House M.D., Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, or CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. (Okay, and the soaps: All My Children or As the World Turns.) When it comes to movies, you’ve no doubt seen her using her breasts to tell the weather as the ditzy Karen Smith in Mean Girls.
With a look that I’ve heard people call ‘creepy‘, Seyfried manages to mold herself to these different (we’re talking vastly different) roles. Amazingly talented, I believe she’ll go on to rule Hollywood (with grace and style!) As Vanity Fair magazine has deemed her a promising young star, she is featured as their Vanities Girl for July ‘08.

Excerpt from Vanity Fair: “She’s the coolest human being ever,” says Seyfried of her on-camera mom (Meryl Streep). “She didn’t treat me like I was younger. She respected me. I couldn’t ask for anything better.”
Seyfrieds’ latest projects are both movies I plan to see. The first is Mamma Mia!, and the second is Jennifer’s Body (written by Juno’s Diablo Cody). For fellow Veronica Mars fans there’s a fun little tie-in, as Kyle Gallner is also cast in that movie, and he played Cassidy “Beaver” Casablanca’s on Veronica Mars. While Seyfried and Gallner never had a scene together, it’s quite plausible that the characters did interact in what would be a Veronica Mars prequel. (Wow, it was difficult to word that without spoilers. I sat here forever, aka 2 minutes, trying to think of how to do it. Oh, how my brain is strained!)

Kyle is also on “Big Love” alongside Amanda and Tina Majorino. That show is really like a VM reunion.

Oh, right, I always forget that! But I am a fan of Big Love, and watched seasons one and two. I love the irony of ‘Lily and Mac’ being friends on this show. LoL. Thank you for your comment and I hope you come back again!

I discovered your blog a couple of weeks ago and find it a very enjoyable read, so I’ll be back definitely.
I also added a link to it on my own blog. Hope you don’t mind.

Very awesome. I’ve visited your blog and I think your humor is great. I’ll also be blogrolling you. I saw on your ‘about’ that you love Joss, so I couldn’t be happier. Dollhouse seems sooo far away. But, still, yay!

Oh, thank you. That reminds me, I need to update my About page and get my paltry What I’m Watching page back up.
I very excited for the Dollhouse Comic-Con panel!
