Saving Grace: Rapid Recap of Season One, Plus Spoilers for Season Two
If you recall my recent post about Saving Grace I told you I planned to mention a few goodies. (I’m sweet like that.) The first thing I wanted to mention was about Earl. Earl is an angel. Earl isn’t a name you’d associate with angels. But maybe that’s the point. Our Angel Earl is played by actor Leon Rippy (Deadwood). Our leading lady, Grace (Holly Hunter), was first visited by the mysterious and unconventional Earl last year.

Earl wants to help Grace, and one of the things that season two will deal with is Grace and her extreme guilt tied to the death of her sister in the Oklahoma City bombing. He will continue to work as her ‘last chance angel‘ in aiding her. Something Earl did last year was use her dreams to speak with her. This method will probably resurface again in season two.
Earl is also an angel for Leon Cooley – an inmate on death row. Grace is tied to Leon in some way, and has in fact dreamed of him. Neither of them know exactly why or how they have a connection, nor do we. TNT says, “This season, a twist in Leon’s death row caw will have a major impact on his future.” Could Grace be the one to help save him?
Need to catch up or refresh yourself on season one of Saving Grace? There is a TNT Rapid Recap for you! Voila! And then… Go widget crazy!
