Preview Some Deleted Scenes of The Office Season 4, Out on DVD 9/2/08

Season five of NBC’s The Office is inching closer to a premiere date, and season four of The Office will soon be out on DVD for your repeated viewing delight. If you are someone who marks calendars, mark Tuesday, September 2nd as the release date. And use a big blue highlighter when you do it.
My press contact has informed me that the season four DVD will have over two hours of goodies (bloopers, deleted scenes, and more).
In the very short meantime, you can check out these video clips from the season 4 DVD of The Office:
“I am not a bad guy…I’m a good guy, who runs over women with his car.” A 30 second blooper clip of Steve Carell as the lovable (and we don’t even know why some of the time) Michael Scott:
“Is Ryan the boss? He is called the boss…he has the power over me that a boss has…so no, we are equals.” Michael tries to work things out with Ryan as his boss. This is a deleted scene from the season 4 episode Fun Run.
“Thank you, invisible driving companion.” Oh, Michael. Another deleted scene, this is one from Dunder Mifflin Infinity.

I don’t like the one from England, either. Which doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just that it’s difficult to understand both the actual words, but also the jargon/slang and so the jokes get lost. When I first read ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ in high school I didn’t get or like it very much. But then I watched the movie last year, the version with Reese Witherspoon and Rupert Everett. Well, this is a case where I’d say watch the movie adaptation first - because hearing it, and seeing it, and understanding how the jokes played - well, I read the book again and I loved it - I GOT it because I could hear it in my head. Anyway. Yea. I’m rambly!

Yeah, I like reading books from England better than watching TV shows from there. It is hard to understand but since reading the Harry Potter books I think I have most of the slang down. And I know someone that lived there for a long time so I ask her sometimes what things mean.

I didn’t have the internet back when I was reading the Harry Potter books but you are right you can always use google. The urban dictionary is my favorite when it comes up in searches.
