Friday’s are Good for Celebrating TV
I recently took part in the Hey!Nielson Fall TV Preview Survey. I have comments there about 90210, Fringe, Dollhouse, Knight Rider, Privileged (why can’t I spell this?), Surviving Suburbia, and The Mentalist. If you go take the Hey!Nielson quiz, you can win a new HDTV. Pretty sweet.
Speaking of new shows… Crash is a new original series coming to the TV network Starz. If the name sounds familiar, it should. This TV series is based on the Academy Award-winning Best Motion Picture of 2006. The cast includes Dennis Hopper as Ben Cenders, Clare Carey as Christine Emory, Brian Tee as Eddie Choi, and Arlene Tur as Bebe Arcel (yes, you’ve seen her on Grey’s Anatomy). Crash premieres Friday, October 17, 2008 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The movie was exceptional, so I think this is worth checking out.
EDIT: The show is not based on Crash, but from from the producers of the Academy Award Best Picture for Crash.
Of course, there will always be room for our favorite TV shows, like 30 Rock. The season 2 DVD will be available for purchase on October 7th, 2008. How much do I love Tina Fey? Oh, I can’t even count how many ways (seriously, I can only count to 500). There are 17 Emmy Award nominations that say I’m not alone in loving this NBC show. A big highlight of season 2 of 30 Rock was all of the fabulous guest stars. These included: Carrie Fisher, Steve Buscemi, Edie Falco , Tim Conway and Will Arnett.
I adore 30 Rock, and so should you.

I never saw Crash the film, but I should have by now. All the talk about this show makes me think it will be good. But the only frame of reference I have is Dennis Hopper giving me directions on my TomTom.

I’m intrigued by Kath and Kim. We’re all huge fans of the original and b/c it’s SO Australian, I am not sure how it will work in an American setting – but I look forward to finding out!

I shall always know you! I like the actresses for Kath and Kim but everyone is saying it isn’t going to be good. It may have aired already – it wasn’t a priority for me…but I will see an episode sometime.
