30 Rock and Tina Fey Rule our Wacky World and Rocked the Emmy Awards
Anyone else think that Lauren Conrad of The Hills was incredibly rude and annoyed the frak out of David Boreanaz of Bones (or ‘The Bones’ if we let Heidi Klum say it) when they presented together at the Emmy’s last night? If I was David I would have been annoyed.
I love TVguide.com, and they think I’m really pretty okay – so let’s make them our definitive source for Emmy Award news. Here is their list of who was nominated for an Emmy and who won. I’ll list some below, the * will indicate who won, and the ! indicates who I wanted to win. And no, I’m not going to make myself choose only one choice per topic because I’m making up my OWN rules and I even let myself have sugar before noon – tcha!
I think what people would call the big story of the night is the way 30 Rock won everything. Yup. They won every category, even the ones it wasn’t nominated for! Damn sneaky, but pretty smart. And they deserved every award. I’m going to have a review of the soon to be released season 2 DVD of 30 Rock, which you can purchase on October 7th.
To quote TVGuide.com’s page written by Erin Fox, “NBC’s 30 Rock took home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series for the second year in a row, with Alec Baldwin winning his first Emmy after seven nominations and Tina Fey taking home a statuette for writing, as well as her first for acting in a comedy series.”
Now, before I get to the list, I also want to note that NBC’s show Chuck (which is great and I recommend) can be viewed here. You can have an advance view of the Chuck premiere ‘Chuck Versus the First Date’ already. Then go check out www.insidebuymore.com to become an employee with Chuck. You probably won’t beat Chuck for employee of the month, of course
Think you don’t have a shot of winning? Big Mike says, “I have a basic test I use for applicants and it involves a hand mirror and seeing whether or not someone is breathing.” So you’re probably good.

I do not understand Jennifer Love Hewitt’s dress. Is it supposed to look like rope? Why would you want rope on your dress?
and I have also warmed to Kristin Chenoweth. I can’t wait for Pushing Daisies to come back.

I guess she wanted to go nautical. But it’s just sooo not good. It’s the HAIR that kills me, though.
