Kelly - I do think you are right that I should give it more of a chance. I just hate to be overloaded with TV shows. (And this winter is all about DOLLHOUSE, yeaa?) When the season one DVD comes out I will probably get it and watch it late at night in a mini-marathon. Thanks for your comment :)

I was a total Buffy fan and must say I find Tru Blood to be pretty interesting. I tune in every Sunday. I think you should try watching a few more episodes before you judge the show. I think the ratings speak for themselves!

Claireleo- I felt like they shoved in too many horrible things for each character to make big plots. I don't deny the need for new, big plots for these chars after so long - but going from 'perfect life' to 'all hell' (for most of the movie) just didn't resonate with me. I felt like all of the characters rushed through things and that they didn't stay true to who the characters were. Miranda may have decided to leave Steve but I think after a lot more pondering. The way Big ended the first wedding and it was all redeemed for a second seemed not romantic. On page, it all sounds like it would be good. But it was executed in a way that was not at all appealing. Jennifer Hudson wasn't needed and it should have been other characters who were helping Carrie through this stuff. It seemed like no longer could the girls help each other - 'they were too old so they had to hire friends and no single over 40 woman could still have her girlfriends if they all have lives' or something. Like, where was Stanford! And augh. It all just makes so mad. There should not have been a movie. RAWR.

What did you find depressing about SATC: The Movie? I don't disagree, I'm just curious. I thought the ending to Season 6 was *perfect* and a movie didn't need to be made at all.

(That being said, if Miranda and Steve had stayed separated, I would have thrown things at the screen. THEY ARE MY FAVORITE.)

I miss you. xo.

Lexie - I'm with you on disliking Wes. He had a weird vibe and seemed a little generic and too princely at times. He seemed to me, more like a character to serve the purpose of another character (which, hey, sometimes you do need) than to have his own merit - however small. I know they tried to do that at the end, but I guess maybe it was too late then.

CHUCK! I love Chuck. Peter being shirtless, and Elle - that's what really made season 2 awesome for me. Otherwise, season 1 of Heroes is still my favorite.

Jessica--oiy does it ever. I...sort of only remember bits of season 2. Especially where it concerns Claire since Wes made me want to drive a stake through his skull. Several times over. Especially at the end. What kind of creepy stalker doesn't vet the parents first?

The only time I don't remember her healing is around the Hatian and I suppose when you're used to an injury healing before it gets to the throbbing stabby searing pain stage it might overwhelm for a few. Can't remember which season that is. Oh and when the stick was stuck in her skull in season 1, but then she immediately healed once it got pulled out of course.

note to self: next DVD purchase (after chuck, and terminator SCC) Heroes season 2. Just...ignore everyone you hate and skip around to the half naked Peter parts XD

Lexie, The thing that gets me is that when Heroes episode 1 started, Claire was still somewhat new to her abilities. She was figuring things out, testing herself. Pushing past pain is something she might have been doing, but wasn't there an episode in season 2 where she gets hurt and it actually hurts and she doesn't heal? Season 2 seems like a looong time ago now, though, so I may be thinking of another show.

well it might be that got used to certain levels of pain. I mean if she was routinely trying to get herself dead she was put through A LOT of pain, so she might have learned how to push past it.

I know a lot of the veteran military folks I meet (my granddad is a veteran of WW2 and my mom is a drill sergant) one of the first things they teach them is to compartmentalize the pain of injuries received. in an active combat zone the chance you'll get wounded on a semi-regular basis is high and a staff medic might not always be around to help you so you might be stuck with that pain for a good long time. Hollering and raising a ruckus won't do you any good (except maybe get you and your squad killed quicker).

Admittedly Claire has no military training, obviously, but I think its an auto-matic thing by now for her.

Yea, I know I'm being picky about the Claire thing, and it's not gonna stop me from watching (or enjoying). It just seems, to me, to be a major fact point that has gotten messed up. But the writers are human so, yea. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out with Claire going darkside, hehe.

agreed about true blood -- i can't get into it, the accents and writing are just too silly to be good.

and about heroes too! i had been wondering if claire could feel pain in the past, especially when she reached into boiling water to get her mom's ring and didn't even flinch. but i'm not that worried about realism or whatever in this show, so i'm just enjoying wherever it's going :]
