Three Cheers for BBC America (Skins Series 3!)

When I first heard that Skins (BBC America) was changing up the cast for series (season) three, I was gobsmacked! I did not like it one tiny bit, not at all. In fact, I was stubborn and insisted right away that I would not watch it! I mean, I could already feel myself missing my old friends – Sid, Cassie, Tony, Maxxie, Jal, Michelle, Chris, Anwar! There was one redeeming item that I could see in all of this mess – Effy Stonem (Kaya Scodelario), Tony’s younger sister, would still be on board.

From what I’ve seen and word from UK  Skins fans (who’ve already viewed the entire series), I feel assured that Skins series 3 is going to be as monumentally fantastic as series 1 and 2.

I’ve suddenly become very BBC America obsessed! I wish I were British. It may not be an enormous pile of shows, but I’m now a very loyal fan of these British TV shows: Doctor Who, Skins, and Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Let me introduce you to a few characters from Skins series 3…don’t be fooled by the colorization of these photos, the show is as vibrantly colorful as ever!

  1. God, I love Skins. The show is a riot. Any teen show in America looks like kindergarten compared to Skins. BBC knows how to make’em!

  2. BBC don’t make Skins , E4 do, you can watch them online now. http://www.e4.com/skins

It’s awesome you will love it!

    :)

  3. Oooh. This is why I need to live in England! :D Thanks!

  4. I’m totally obsessed with Skins. I still prefer the first cast, but I love love love the show no matter what. There’s nothing cliche or predictable about it, although the beginning of series 3 was a bit too much like typical high school for me.

  5. I miss the original skins cast though especially Cass!

  6. I agree Katie, I do fiercly miss the old cast!
