My New Favorite TV Comedy is Party Down on Starz
When I first heard about the new show on Starz, Party Down, I wasn’t that interested in finding out more. You know – I just wasn’t feeling it based on the name. It’s not that I’m against parties – I just felt like it wouldn’t be my thing. Well, little did I anticipate that it’d be exactly my kind of thing. So, don’t be a fool like me and try to overlook this show – you’ll be a sorry, sad, silly mess. And no one likes those.
Party Down is directed by Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars) and stars (super cute) Adam Scott, (VM alum) Ken Marino, (the always rockin’) Lizzy Caplan, Jane Lynch, (VM alum and super adorably awesome) Ryan Hansen, and Martin Starr. I’m not familiar with them all yet, but time will help me out with that. And, if that wasn’t great enough, IMDB says Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars, Moonlight) and Alona Tal (Supernatural, Veronica Mars) will both make a guest appearance! Finally, another amazing comedy to cheer me up!

I’ve seen ads for that… I think every single person in those clips was in at least one VM episode!
Also, I just came across this hulu commercial with Alec Baldwin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m71m-LBqFQ the “mushy mush” part made me laugh.

I have become obsessed with Hulu these past two days. Did you know they offer full movies (like, mostly really bad ones that are funny!) and way more TV than I bet you realized? There is this show ‘House Hunters’ I’ve been watching like crazy. It’s so stupid but so fun. It’s like spying on houses. Which I always said I’d do someday. *Sigh*
I love that Alec commercial. I just watched him on 30 Rock. An excellent episode. Not that I’m guilting you. Or anything

This show looks great, I love the idea, i love the people, everything but for me the first episode really fell short of what I was expecting. I’ll keep watching, maybe I was just expecting too much from such an awesome ensemble cast.

I think we’ll see even more (multiplied!) greatness from the show in the next few episodes. *Crosses fingers* …And I’m not even an optimist.
