  1. we lived very close to the beach and used to go there on the weekend, the ice cream man would walk the sand with a big cooler in front hanging from his neck and just yell for people

  2. right now MO….. favorite beach memories is when I was a teen in Chicago and did one of those stupid swim in the ice- first swim of the year

  3. Fave beach memories are the ones we take yearly to the Caribbeana – most beautiful beach and fave beach is Trunks Bay on St. John USVI

  4. Hey Jessica, thanks for sharing your goodies with us. When I was young, my dad used to rent a studio by the beach during the summers. Every Sunday with him would seem like an adventure & so different from our usual movie & dinner outings. Plus, I got to see my cousins & eat Domino’s pizza. It was heaven for a 9 yr old. ha

  5. A favorite beach memory is from Robert Moses Beach in New York. Field 5 was the nude beach and we’d go and stare at the ‘old farts’ with all their wears hanging out. We were teenagers so everything was funny to us, even though we kept our tops on. Thanks for hosting.

  6. I would visit the NJ shore with my family when I was young.. My favorite beach memory was getting a fudge bar on the beach the fudgewudgey man! messy but so yummy!

  7. my fave beach memory is jumping off the rocks and eating fresh fish while watching the sun set with friends.

  8. AmyD from PA

  9. Jill M. from NC

My fondest memory of the beach was the first time that I took my children.
My daughter was amazed at the size of the ocean and would run from the waves. It was too cute.
My sons first words were “Where is Baywatch”
lol. He truly thought that they would be on any beach waiting for him.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.

  10. NE (although home will always be MI…Lots of beach memories with all those big lakes!)

My favorite beach memory is the time I beat up the captain of the water polo team after Cotillion when I was secretly Ryan Atwood! or. his twin sister. or. um. I. Yeah…
(Yes, I watched The OC. I missed Adam Brody too much when he left Gilmore Girls!).

My real favorite beach memories are the times I spent at my grandparents’ summer cottage… Just walk out the back door and the lake was 20 feet away. Lighting off 4th of July fireworks with my uncles, bonfires and toasting marshmallows, floating lazily on an air mattress for hours (after spending hours blowing them up!).

  11. My favorite beach memory was the fist time I waded in the ocean.
    Thanks!

  12. wendy w from New York

my favorite beach memory is watching the sun rise on a Bahamas Beach with my daughter when she was about six months old.

  13. This is sad but I have no beach memories as I have never been to a beach — we live in a landlocked city and have never traveled to a beach. We did use to go to a neat lake when I was a kid and play on a “beach” of sorts — it was a lot of fun although full of rocks :-)

    Marie L. in Missouri

  14. My favorite beach memory is snorkeling by a beach in Maui with my husband.

  15. Anytime I’m at the beach is special. I love walking on the beach and relaxing.

  16. My favorite beach memory is the day I saw the ocean for the first time. I was 12 or 13 and our hotel wasn’t ready when we arrived so I got to see the water first thing. We walked down the pier and someone caught a baby hammerhead shark, I got to touch it before they threw it back (no body wanted to buy it from the man) thank goodness.

  17. The contest has now ended! Our random winner was the SECOND entry with Mrs. Mommy of MO and her Chicago ice-swimming! She has been notified by e-mail. If she does not reply within three days, another winner will be chosen.

Thanks to all of you guys who entered! Hope you subscribe to SofaChip for even more chances to win things, as well as follow us on Twitter. You’ll be followed back, because you rock!
