SofaChip’s Advance Review of HBO’s True Blood: “Nothing But the Blood”

The new season for True Blood on HBO starts on June 14th on 9 p.m. The episode is called Nothing but the Blood. We pick up with Detective Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) discovering a body in a car outside of Merlotte’s. That can’t be good. But, when is a dead body ever good news?

Later, Sookie (Anna Paquin) gets introduced to Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). How do you think she’ll react? Jealousy? Apathetic? I won’t tell you – other than it adds a nice dimension to character dynamic between Sookie and Bill (Stephen Moyer).

One of the characters gets a very interesting flashback to their past. Another character deals with their grief. And yet another character finds themselves falling into some money. Sadly, I can’t give away specific spoilers! I’m duty bound!

A bit of randomness? This episode had me really wanting some fresh fruit!

As always, there is such gorgeous scenery and a dark, gritty feel to the show. I think fans will really be pleased. Feel free to come on back and let me hear your thoughts after the show airs!
