Neve Campbell in Scream 4: It’s all about the Hair!

I don’t think I have the proper words to explain to you how excited I was when I heard they were making a fourth installment of Scream. Yes, I did argue (to myself and anyone who would listen) that the script was written as a trillogy and they seemed to be doing this mostly for the money. But with so many bad movies coming out, it’s nice to have one that I can rely on to love – if only because of the backstory.

Pop Wrap recently interviewed writer Kevin Williamson about The Vampire Diaries:

PW: What about bringing in former colleagues — like any of the “Creek” kids?
Kevin: Maybe. Just not at the moment. But I did ask Neve [Campbell] to come play a vampire. She’s too busy filming a movie right now, but maybe down the road.

This leads us to believe that Campbell has completly revised her relationship with Williamson, because up until a few months ago even David Arquette was confirming that Campbell would not be returning for Scream 4 – but that he and his wife would.

But now Neve Campbell is singing a different tune. She told Black Book Mag that she begins shooting Scream 4 this April. I’d complain about her changing her mind, but not only am I super psyched that she’ll be on board – but I change my mind about the shoes I’ll wear every day about five times before I settle on a pair. So, yea.

Readers may know that I am very into hairstyles. Although not a fan of bobs, Campbell credits a lot of her prep work for the movie to her Sidney hair. “Once I’ve got the hairstyle, the character of Sidney definitely comes back to me.”
