The next expisode for The Closer Season Five is Blood Money. Ooooh, sounds ominious… The storyline looks really good, and I can’t wait to find out what’s happening with a) Brenda’s (Kyra Sedgwick) cat, and b) Lt. Provenza (G.W. Bailey)!

And you know what else? I’d watch this episode for the clothes alone. Will you just take a LOOK at the beautiful threads that Greg LaVoi has put Brenda Leigh in for this episode? Oh, man. Jealous!

“Blood Money” – Premieres Monday, June 15, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)

The apparent kidnapping of a rich financier under investigation for ripping off investors leads Brenda’s squad to think he may have staged his own abduction. During the investigation, Gabriel tries to cover the forensic accounting duties, since Det. Daniels has been promoted to another division. Meanwhile, something strange has come over Lt. Provenza. And Kitty, Brenda and Fritz’s cat, is enduring medical issues.

USA will launch the 75-minute limited commercial premiere of ROYAL PAINS, the network’s newest original scripted series, on Thursday, June 4 at 10/9c immediately following the Season 3 premiere of BURN NOTICE at its new timeslot 9/8c.

It’s time to put your celebrity pictures to work at cherished gifts. We love getting our pictures taken with celebrities, don’t we? It’s proof that you really met the person. So, later when you’re trying to recall whether you hallucinated meeting James Marsters at Comic Con you can set yourself straight (not to mention make your friends uber jealous that you were THISCLOSE to Spike!).

Let me roll a scenario by you that I think will be helpful to remember when it comes time to find a present for your bestie. If I met one of my favorite actors, David Tennant (Doctor Who), and got a picture with him? Do you have ANY idea how cool it would be to have someone blow up the picture (maybe retouching it) and put it in a fancy frame as a gift for me?

Maybe it’s bordering on excessively cheesy, but if you’re a big enough fan, you just don’t care of the possible (or inevitable) mockery. Because that’s YOU with (name of your favorite celebrity)! And who cares what everyone else thinks? It’s wonderful.

If your Mom is cool enough to have a favorite celeb she fawns over, consider a picture poster printing idea as my suggestion for what to get Mom for Mother’s Day.

Will Lucifer be in the Supernatural Season Four Finale?

On Supernatural this week, brother will go against brother. That’s right, it’s time for some good ol’ Sam Winchester vs. Dean Winchester! One of the trailer’s for the next Supernatural episode When the Levee Breaks asks, “Which one is the real monster?”

How can you even begin to answer that? They’ve both been pulled to such extremes. And in a way, they’ve been pulled into these extremes simply because of the other doing.

Sam worked on his mojo with Ruby because Dean was dead and he was lost and hurting. Dean is now withdrawn because of being in Hell. With makes Sam rebel and withdrawl. Which makes Dean angry and blame Sam even more severely than usual. Because of the seriousness of Sam’s situation, Dean is pulled into a very scary place where he might, maybe just for a moment, see a need to let Sam die. It’s a very complex system! Every action and reaction has fed into the next.

We’ve come a long way from the opening episode of this season, Lazarus Rising. The season finale of Supernatural will air on the 17th of May, and is aptly titled Lucifer Rising.

Oh, Dean. I will say yes to anything with that face.

This seems to indicate pretty strongly that Lucifer will be appearing. Which is – a big deal. Sure, some shows like Reaper show the Devil, but it’s in a comic approach. Point Pleasant (you remember that show?!) never showed the Devil, even though he was mentioned plenty. To show Lucifer, to bring the idea of him into a show (even bringing in the idea of Angels) takes a lot of guts. Because you do have to really pull it off well. And you know what? I have total faith that Supernatural will deliver. Which is maybe a pun with using the word ‘faith’ and stuff, but – you get what I mean? I think the season finale is going to be GOOD, man.

Okay, I’m not a total die hard fan of True Blood – I think it’d have made a better movie than a series…. But oh well! I know there are plenty of fans out there. So here are some pictures for season two of True Blood! The new season of True Blood starts on June 14th.

Keira Knightley has told the Telegraph, “I hate the Internet. I find it dehumanizing to constantly check emails or social sites which have become so fashionable.” While many may leap to calls of ‘elitist!’ I think there’s nothing wrong with her statement. Which might seem especially odd, considering I’m one of the people who checks e-mails constantly and uses social sites. Yea, irony – I roll with it.

But it makes complete sense that a celebrity on the A-list would dislike the internet and the gossip it churns 24/7, much like celebs of the 90’s hated gossip magazines. And it surprises me when I glimpse into a celeb’s life via some horrible reality show (ugh, Kim Kardashian, WHY are you on TV?) and see that they truly can’t help but google themselves, and check out what others are saying. And this can certainly bring down their self esteem if they so much as have a bad hair day. And no one’s hair is THAT perfect.

P.S. I have to admit, I have enjoyed reading the Twitter accounts of few celebs (Felicia Day, Mindy Kaling, Tina Fey). Awesomeness FTW.

It’s the Same Old Story: Like (alter-ego) Mother, Like Daughter

United States of Tara

I’ve mentioned before that I’ve enjoyed watching Showtime’s United States of Tara. I think I have just the season finale of the show to watch! While Tara and her daughter, Kate, aren’t exactly ‘Gilmore Girls’ – Kate and Tara’s alter ‘T’ have managed to find some common ground. This is, of course, almost entirely in part to the fact that T is a 16 year old persona of a girl, which is much closer to Kate’s age than Tara’s real one. T is a rebel, who loves breaking rules – and Kate often finds herself in the reverse situation of being the adult. Which well, she probably hates. LoL.

Regardless, plenty of teenage girls wish they could bond with their mom – that she could really understand. In this case, Kate and T do in fact bond plenty! Their tastes are almost identical. When I saw this line of Ed Hardy selections, with the vintage tattoo style going on, I knew Kate and T would both find them ‘rad’. Er, but they probably wouldn’t use the word ‘rad’. That’s just me.

What I think is coolest are the Ed Hardy swimsuits. It’s like getting a full-body tattoo, without the pain! (My favorite pick is the unusual Koi Fish swimsuit.) My Mother and I share jewelry sometimes…she just doesn’t know this. ; ) Shhh!

John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph in the Sam Mendes Film Away We Go

From Academy Award Director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Jarhead, Revolutionary Road) comes the Focus Features movie Away We Go. The first name that piqued my discerning interest was John Krasinski (The Office, and the object of a long-standing crush of mine).

Away We Go

The goodness kept on coming when I read the rest of the cast list included funny gal Maya Rudolph (SNL, Kath & Kim), Jeff Daniels, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Allison Janney, Chris Messina, Catherine O’Hara, Paul Schneider, Carmen Ejogo, (Conan O’Briens pale force buddy) Jim Gaffigan, Josh Hamilton, and Melanie Lynskey.

Krasinski and Rudolph, alone, are enough to get me in to see this movie, but let’s not stop with the thrillingly impressive cast! That would just be silly. The music in the movie is from Alexi Murdoch - someone whose ethereal-sounding music I first loved when I discovered it during an episode of Dawson’s Creek. (And I refuse to be embarrassed for having grown up with that show! Pacey and Joey forevers, man!)

What’s more, the writers for Away We Go are Dave Eggers (A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius) and Vendela Vida (And Now You Can Go). If you haven’t read these books, then not only do you have a movie to be psyched about – but two books to keep you busy until the movie release date in June.

I guess the only thing left to do is tell you the premise for Away We Go: “..this funny and heartfelt film follows the journey of an expectant couple, as they travel the U.S. in search of the perfect place to put down roots and raise their family. Along the way, they have misadventures and find fresh connections with an assortment of relatives and old friends who just might help them discover ‘home’ on their own terms for the first time.“

Review of Heroes Cold Snap (Rebel Revealed!)

Heroes seems to be an underdog, in a way. I mean, people loved this show so much…and then (we all) loved to hate it. And now?…we seem unsure as to whether or not to place our faith in the resilience the show may or may not have to bounce back to former glory. If I liked sports at all, I’d probably use a sports metaphor here. Lucky for you, I happen to hate sports as much as I hate slugs. Gross.

Tracy Strauss on Heroes - NBC : She Took the Heat!

This episode (‘Cold Snap’) focused on the character of Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter), which was fitting as it may or may not be her last episode. While I hadn’t previously enjoyed the character, for once I did. And maybe that’s the beauty of being able to finally get people to care when you want the emotional payoff for loss.

I personally never have been able to wrap my brain around the fact that Niki Sanders was truly dead – which maybe is naive of me. I just hate when main characters are killed off. Apparently the show hates that too, so they brought Ali Larter in as another character. But this character failed to pique the interest of most anyone, rendering her basically a failure. And I felt bad for Larter. She was so integral to the first season, and I hated the idea that she’d be written off. I always was interested in the backstory of Nikki and her sister, and her entire family history.

Also, I hated that with Nikki/Jessica gone, her son, Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) was suddenly not important at all. Why do people bring in younger characters if they’re going to abuse them? Say what you want about how annoying Dawn Summers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was, at least they didn’t use/drop her.

The great thing was that the character of Micah got at least one final time to interact with his ‘Mom’ albeit as the persona of Tracy Strauss. And while I might want to wonder if Micah couldn’t have gotten himself, or both of them away without Tracy having to sacrifice herself, the gesture was almost overwhelmingly sweet. While she kept saying ‘I am not your Mom’ she protected him as though, for a moment, she knew she could honor Nikki in that way.

Whether Tracy is really dead is up for debate. I mean, she did blink her eye even after being smashed…I could see her icy/water molecules kind of sucking back together and letting her be ‘her’ again. Which would in a way make her indestructible a la Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere). Which, hey, cool!

Now, as for ‘Rebel’ it seemed pretty obvious that Micah was going to be rebel. At least I really wanted it to be him – he had all the tools. But I had hoped it was going to be Molly Walker (Adair Tishler), too! I mean, she can find anyone – that’s gotta come in handy. Plus, I miss her! Again, you can’t just write these kids off like they don’t matter! I mean, wouldn’t people be after her? Come on! I assume people have been after Micah too. The actor has certainly grown up, just like Walt of Lost!

I really love that Rebel is Micah, and I hope we get a flashback episode that centers on him and how he came to be Rebel.

Rachel Bilson is known as being a stylish fashionista, but she makes fashion flops from time to time. Pictured above is her most recent fashion flop: When Fringe Attacks! I’m not sure what the inspiration for this was, maybe Pocahontas? Taking away the gray tights would help a smidge, but the dress itself is the real problem.

Another thing that might have helped it out would be to have nipped in the waist for the under part – give it some form. She looks a bit like a really boring pinata to me. If she had gone another way – bare legs, cowboy boots…I dunno, it might have worked.
