Supernatural Season Four is Gearing Up (Spoilers!), Fans Have Good Reason to be Excited

Supernatural season four

Psychic Predictions Ahoy!

As I hunt around (total pun, kinda, er…?) for Supernatural spoilers, I found an interview Eric Kripke had with TVGuide.com back in April. Whether you read it before or not, I think it’s worth re-reading knowing what we know now. Here it is a copy. What I’m noticing from this is the confirmation that Mary (the mother) is going to be back in a way. She’ll be talked about - at least. She’s more important to the future of Dean and Sam than we realize. When they talk about the ‘generations‘ of kids, like the baby Rosie, and etc - I think there is a lot more mythology to learn that involves the Winchester family. And then I found confirmation of this!

You can see a much more recent piece where Eric Kripke told some things about season four of Supernatural to TVGuide.com. When I read that we should Get set for a revealing flashback to the Winchester parents’ teen years” - I am excited. Like Sam, I am totally psychic. No, really. Your card is an ace of spades!

As I continue my Supernatural marathon, I’m now 1/3 of the way through season two. And I’m loving every minute of it. The CW says that for sure Supernatural season four will premiere on on September 18th at 9 p.m. It’s gonna be a party!

I don’t know if I’ll like or loathe Sam’s new love interest Kristy, played by Genevieve Cortese. It’s hard to spell that name, man!

What else is interesting right now?

Pronouncing ‘Ventimiglia’ Properly, and Other Gems of the Internet (The DSC!)

If you thought I was done giving you Heroes-related news, I have to wonder how well you know me. Sure, you may know my birthstone and my favorite drink, but that’s not all there is to me! (I am so MULTI-LAYERED that even I don’t remember my real name anymore.) Besides, any good obsession has to be nurtured, or it’s just not doing anything! ; ) So, here we go.

I found an article on Eonline.com where Hayden Panettiere, who plays Claire Bennet on Heroes, talks about why Claire probably won’t have a love interest on the show this year. Guess I wasn’t the only person who didn’t like West, huh? Normally I’m a romance junkie, but certain shows can do without it. Heroes is a show where romance only needs to factor in very slightly, and it needs to feel natural, not forced.

Then (as I was stumbling blearily through the jungle that is the Internet) I found an interview between Milo Ventimiglia and Ryan Higa. If you’ve ever wondered how to pronounce ‘Ventimiglia’ then you’ll want to watch this. (I love his humor, and oh yea - he’s very handsome!) I don’t really understand why some people are not seeing that this is a joke interview. I don’t want to call anyone stupid…and yet I have to. :P

Fancast got the scoop on Milo Ventimiglia and Star Wars. When I read this I had to e-mail my friend, Myk, telling him that, ‘our two worlds are scarily merging and coming together, an apocalypse is perhaps forthcoming…’ (He: being a Star Wars geek, me: a respectable fan of Milo. Then again, we both like ewoks and Heroes. So maybe we’re truly the same, deep down where it counts. And yet, I’m still sure that I smell better than him. And really that’s what counts the most.)

I’ve never actually seen Entourage (WHAT?!) but I say we need to get Milo Ventimiglia and his friends Russ and Dino a show just like that. They’re all hilarious and sarcastic with the right amount of geek-lovability (is this not a word?) and intelligent wit. It’s actually a deadly combo. For more on them check out The DSC aka The Divide Social Club.

On my Hiatus I Saved the Cheerleader, then the World!

Sofachip is now off hiatus (we have no remarkable tans to show off - a grave oversight), so you can stop holding your breathe! You were holding your breathe until we returned, right? Good. Good. I certainly missed you all.  I think it’s only natural to come back and talk about  my new favorite TV show: Heroes!

Synposis: How one die-hard TV fangirl rejected Heroes only to come back to it almost two years later and fall in love. (The wedding is next spring.)

Elle Bishop

When Heroes first aired, I watched the pilot and I didn’t dig it. Seriously. I was like, “Eh, superheroes. Eh, too many characters who don’t even meet. Eh, maybe America’s Next Top Model is on instead.” I’m ashamed, but I’m being truthful! I think I watched maybe one other episode (the second) and I decided it just wasn’t for me. And that’s where I thought my story ended. *Cue anticipating music* But it had only just begun…

When my beloved Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) joined the Heroes season two cast, I decided I had to watch. Then, my love for Gilmore Girls alum Milo Ventimiglia was rekindled. So, you probably think I was on board with it all, then. But no. With the strike (a necessary evil), I lost interest. But then I wrangled up the few episodes I missed and I felt love reborn. It was then that I went to my local library website and ordered season one. I didn’t even have to wait that long, only 28 years! (Kidding, maybe three months.)

The Heroes Cast

Now, I write to you having seen every episode (some of them twice). I love this show. I don’t know how I could have been so blind. The stories all intertwine, and I ended up caring about almost every single one of them. This includes the characters we only got to know for a handful of episodes (wah!) like ….well, you know.

See, I won’t write a spoiler here. Because if you haven’t seen Heroes season one yet, I am imploring you to make that your summer mission! Missions are cool, and they don’t have to be impossible. (Dear Mission Impossible movie people, I only watched the last one because Felicity’s Keri Russel was supposed to be in it. Well, I think you know why I’m upset. Refund me!)

So, go buy the DVD box set! We have handy Amazon links for you on our page here whenever you’re ready to purchase it. Heroes season one is addictive, so remember to pace yourselves while watching.

Heroes’ Milo Ventigmilia: Why One Australian Fan Loves Him

Today we have an exclusive Sofachip interview with Sherrie Sherwood, who owns and operates a popular Milo Ventimiglia community on Livejournal.com. I chatted with the friendly Aussie about Heroes, the ridiculous nature of tabloids, and Milo’s last name. Some of her favorite pictures of Milo are peppered throughout this post. Let’s go!

What year did you start the Livejournal community Milo_fans?

I started it 7th of May 2007. And hey, it’s been one whole year now! Aawww, I wish I’d caught that, I could of made a 1 year anniversary post.

Is he your favorite actor? Who are your other favorite actors and actresses?

Yes, most definitely my favourite actor. David Duchovny used to be my favourite, and I never thought I’d ever find an actor in my lifetime that I like more than David, but then I watched Heroes and David was pushed to second place. Other actors that I like besides Milo and David are Tony Leung, Cathrine Zeta Jones, and a lot of other actors.

When and how did you first become a fan of Milo? (What show or movie
did you see him in first?)

Heroes, after that I chased up all the other shows and movies he’s been in. The Apple iBook advert Continued

Love is Happy, and So are These TV Fandom Videos

Here’s the third installment of the Sofachip Fanvid Appreciation Awards. Are you POSSIBLY freaking ready? This makes me feel like a DJ, almost. Which reminds me of the time I was living in a dorm room, and I’d call my friend who lived literally one floor down, and I’d pretend to be a DJ. Um…it as more fun than it sounds. Honest.

- BuffyAngelFan55 - Stronger (by Kayne West)

I pretend to hate this song but I guess I actually sorta love it, sometimes. This video is amazing. Buffy and Angel (Bangel) are true love x 80. I don’t know if this song is supposed to be romantic, and I never took it that way - but watching this video makes me see romance in the lyrics. I love that it’s got the action (WHAM) and then the tense romance (AWW) - even sexiness (YUM). Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and David Boreanaz (Bones, Angel) secretly love each other, that’s my theory.
