Should we discuss the Sex and the City movie? I think we should. I’m listening to the soundtrack right now. I’m very pleased that The Weepies were included on the soundtrack because since I heard ‘The World Spins Madly On’ in the movie Because I Said So (very fun and light chick flick with Diane Keaton, Tom Everett Scott*, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham, Piper Perabo* and Stephen Collins) I’ve been loving them. I could do without the Fergie track, but the supa-fine tracks by Jennifer Hudson (American Idol alum), Jem, and india.arie make up for that.
As for the dress debacle with Sarah Jessica Parker at the New York premiere, well, yes, I do have an opinion. Continued

I don’t like Country music, I just never have. I think it would also be fair to say that I don’t like most of the fashion that Country music stars wear to award shows. But maybe I’ll give the music a chance someday. I always like to practice my singing-in-the-shower skills.

LeAnn Rimes. Flapper style meets Medieval? Even her fingernails and eyebrows look harsh and severe. Was she preparing for battle? Dresses that look like armor are probably not a wise choice. Unless you actually are going into battle.

Carrie Underwood. Bubble dresses are difficult to pull off. A one shouldered neckline is not going to work with them. Bubble dresses work best with spaghetti strap necklines - or basically anything that doesn’t make you look like you’re wearing a purple potato sack. Also, I absolutley hate her hair, specifically her bangs.

I seem to care more about the character’s of Lost after they’ve been killed off, that’s weird, huh? I always had a soft spot for Shannon and Boone, and I think you all know what’s become of them. Augh! Shannon was played by Maggie Grace, who I hadn’t realized had become a brunette! And she looks even better with dark hair, I think. But, you be the judge! In the second picture you’ll notice she’s rocking the fashion trend of polished, fancy shorts for events. Not everyone is successful with this trend, but Maggie looks, in my humble-but-fashionably-educated opinion, all kinds of wonderful. (Even if her facial expression in that picture is kind of like ‘guhh?’)
Grace had a small role in the disappointing straight-to-DVD movie Suburban Girl which starred Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy). Is it wrong to hope she won’t get any projects for a bit and they’ll decide to somehow work her back onto Lost?

Dear Paris,
Sarah Jessica Parker can pull off crazy hats and make them look ten shades of fabulous. Do you want to chance a guess at how people think you look in a crazy hat? (Hint, it rhymes with lazy - which I’m told you are.) Crraaaazzzyyy. Yup. The fact that it looks hopelessly tacky doesn’t help. Just between you and me - you had this thing rigged up real fast by using old Easter decorations and fishing wire, right?
Always impressed by how you manage to not choke on water,
Jessica

Despite the fact that I lost interest in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles three episodes in, it’s been renewed for a second season. The show probably isn’t even bad, I just didn’t have the motivation to watch it, commercials and all. (No, I don’t have any fancy TiVo/DVR schtuffs. Alas!) I think this is a show I may get the DVDs of sometime (I’m sure they’ll come out) and sit down to watch when I can really get into it all. It was hard to watch the show when I’d never seen any of the movies. You wanna know what movies I’m (re) watching lately? You’ve Got Mail*, Sabrina, I Am Legend, Desperately Seeking Susan and His Girl Friday.
Anyway, Lena Headey and Summer Glau were at the Fox TV upfronts. They looked interesting.
Lena, I’m not a huge fan of your haircut because it makes your hair seem limp, just hanging there - emphasizing your square face. So I kind of wish you’d do something else with it. Now, your uh…pantsuit, looks fine when I look at it and scroll down slowly - it would have been a cute sundress - the blue hue is lovely, and the moddish white flowers are pretty. However, I don’t even know what to begin calling the bunched, elastic-cuffed pant things. Designer clown-inspired pants?
Aside: I’m not a fan of tattoos, but you make them seem elegant. Neat.

Summer, you look like a sun-drenched flower. I suspect people somewhere are commenting on your toes (larger picture below the first). I hope they take into consideration all of the ballet training and dancing you did - and realize flaws make people more beautiful and unique. I’m glad you refuse to hide them. I love the strappy sandals. Continued
